A former Assistant Professor of Management at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, he has taught starting startups and competitive advantage at Stanford University.

He received his AB magna cum laude with highest honors in Sociology from Harvard College, his PhD in Business from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and his JD from the University of Michigan Law School.
