MACAU THROUGH THE EYES OF AN ARCHITECT
Through return trips to his home city in 2023 and 2024, the author explores Macau's distinctive blend of Portuguese and Chinese culture, history, and architecture through the lens of an American architect raised in the city. Seen from the perspective of a Macanese local, this photo essay presents Macau's streets, neighborhoods, and everyday places with honesty and quiet familiarity.
This book is a deeply personal project, created as the author rediscovers his birthplace by walking down childhood memory lane. More than a travel record, it is an intimate reflection on home, identity, and belonging.
Above all, the book serves as a visual and emotional bridge for his children. It's a way for them to understand the city their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents called home.
