This collection of short stories takes readers into the lives of everyday Christians residing in the fictional communities of East and West Sparrow, set in the Pennsylvania Wilds region of Northern Appalachia. The characters span the spectrum of faith, from curious seekers exploring Christianity to mature believers, from backsliders to lukewarm followers dulled by today's modern, humanistic world.
The reader is invited into the hearts and minds of these characters as they encounter troubles, temptations, and tragedies that challenge and engage their faith in unexpected ways. But fear not-the Holy Spirit works, in both mighty and subtle fashions, to guide these characters toward spiritual and earthly triumphs in wondrous and surprising ways. While not everyone finds a happy ending, the spirit of Christ rises in each story, leaving the reader wrapped in the victory of hope.
