Each contributor worked diligently to bring to the reader situations common to today's teen experience. No two stories are alike. However, there is one commonality:
They chose to speak up!
Therein lies the purpose of Teen Talk: to give a voice to those things that are often suppressed, forcing our youth into a place of silence. Silence leads to internalized torment. Torment leads to depression. Depression leads to suicide. That adverse chain of emotions can have a tragic end, but it doesn't have to be that way. The only silence that should be a part of anyone's life is telling the enemy-Satan-to SHUT UP!
