After vaccinations banished it to the history books, no one ever expected a second major epidemic of the bubonic plague. But it's here, and deadlier than ever-sweeping around the world and resistant to every form of defense medical science can throw at it.

That's the situation Jimmy Burke finds himself in: staying with relatives on their farm miles from his hometown when the plague strikes, ravaging the countryside. But the teen is determined to make it back to his family, and when he comes across a girl named Dana looking for the same thing, he knows he's found an ally-a friend-for the long haul.
The pair has plenty of obstacles to face on their journey however, including vigilante rulers, the ongoing threat of illness, and a rapidly changing world.
For now, they might have their humor and determination to keep them going-but in the end, only one force controls the fate of humankind.
Author Biography
Art DeLozier, author of Anything Happening, is a public accountant certified in Florida, and a former partner for a St. Petersburg public accounting firm. He has since transitioned to CFO positions in the health care industry in South Georgia and Atlanta.
He and his wife, Marcy, currently reside in his eastern Tennessee hometown.
