In The ADIX, Shana Marlayna Chow opens a story where truth is not philosophical - It is visceral, intrusive, and impossible to ignore.
Adrian Tames was six years old when the world stopped behaving normally. Words no longer sounded like words. They split open. Curled back. Revealed what lived beneath them. Every lie came with a vision - sharp, involuntary, undeniable.
It was never imagination. It was inheritance.
Hidden within the folds of history lies an ancient bloodline born in Athens at the dawn of democracy - the ADIX, seekers of Truth, marked by a gift that exposes deception as clearly as memory. Their existence traces back to the gods themselves, to a bargain struck in the shadows of Greek mythology. For centuries, they have moved quietly through wars, presidencies, betrayals, and revolutions - never seen, never known.
But truth was never meant to stand alone.
Opposing them is a darker lineage, born of Hades and forged in corruption - men and women whose lies are not merely believed, but irresistible. Between these two bloodlines, a silent war has shaped the course of civilization.
And then there is Laurel.
He can see every lie - except hers - the one person Adrian cannot read. The one truth that refuses to surface. The one presence that unsettles everything he thought he understood about his gift, and about himself.
Greek mythology meets forbidden romance in this tightly woven psychological thriller about secrecy, legacy, restraint, and the unbearable weight of knowing too much.
Truth is a weapon. Some are born to wield it - But even truth has blind spots.
