Surviving the Frontier is hard enough, without having someone else to protect...
Sam is a gunslinger travelling the frontier and pulling the trigger on her railgun for pay. Frontier life is not for the long-lived and over the years the land has claimed her husband and many friends.
So, when her idiot son Deckard drops out of school and rides out on his home-made hoverbike to make his own way on the frontier Sam can only sigh in exasperation and chase him down. As fraught as their relationship is, she must keep him alive long enough to convince him to go back to school where he'll be safe and educated.
Beyond the borders of the map, they'll find endless wonders, and death lurking between them. In this inhospitable world, one mistake is enough to guarantee death.
