The Burning of Kingston, New York during the American Revolution in 1777. This was the same time period of the war of independence when the British lost in the battle of Saratoga. More than just a book of historical significance is the story of one person's struggle to grow up during this era. Originally titled Rachel DuMont, a brave little maid of the Revolution: A true story of the burning of Kingston. The original book went out of print in the early 1800's. Currently only available in rare book collections and historical libraries.
