The rise of AI is forcing every organization--even the most successful--to transform. Most will fail, not because of the wrong vision, but because of the wrong leadership.
In The Catalyst CEO, veteran leadership advisor Constantine G. Alexandrakis challenges conventional wisdom about what it takes to transform organizations in moments of profound change.
While many CEOs ask the right questions about their strategy, far fewer ask the right questions about their leadership--yet that, he argues, is where transformation is ultimately won or lost.
Drawing on candid conversations with global CEOs who have reimagined their businesses, and his own experience transforming Russell Reynolds Associates, Alexandrakis shows why transformation success demands a fundamental rethink of the CEO role and how authority is used.
He asserts that the job of CEOs is not to command transformation from the top, but to build transformational teams who can co-own and co-lead it together--sharing the decisions, the accountability, and the leadership of change itself.
The shift sounds simple. Executing it is anything but. Through hard-won lessons, Alexandrakis shows what transformational leadership looks like in practice: how to ensure your board is a genuine partner, how to build and lead an executive team that holds together when things go wrong, and how to equip the next generation of leaders to sustain change long after you've stepped down.
This is not a story about individual brilliance. Nor is it about diminishing the CEO's power. It's about what leaders make possible together and how a CEO's greatest strength is about what they catalyze in others.
Perfect for aspiring and practicing CEOs alike, The Catalyst CEO is a must-read guide for any leader navigating the pressure to transform--and determined to make it not just happen, but last.
