What if the bravest choice a child can make is choosing to believe in themselves?
Emma is excited to share her colorful butterfly artwork with her classmates-until a few whispers make her question whether her picture is good enough. With the gentle encouragement of her teacher, Mrs. Rose, Emma begins to discover something important: she cannot control what others think, say, or do, but she can choose what she believes about herself.
The Choice Inside Me is a warm, beautifully illustrated story about confidence, courage, kindness, and staying true to yourself. Through Emma's experience, children learn that mistakes are part of learning, being different is something to celebrate, and their choices can help them grow stronger from the inside out.
Written for children ages 6-9, this story creates natural opportunities for meaningful conversations at home, in the classroom, and in counseling or social-emotional learning settings.
The Choice Inside Me is Book One in the Growing Kind Hearts Collection, a children's series created to help young readers build the inner skills they need to navigate friendships, challenges, emotions, and everyday choices with courage and kindness.
