What is a family cult?
Kenogi, a fundamentalist Christian family cult survivor, illustrates the journey of escape, self-discovery, and healing through the halls of The Family Cult Paradox. This book is a self-help guide for anyone leaving a religious cult, be it familial or non-familial. It compares the non-familial, and more common, organized cult to the familial cult in a way that has not been done before. It also introduces the idea of the familial Christian cult in a way that victims, survivors, support systems, and clinicians can understand and assist the person in the cult with their recovery.
This book serves as a self-help tool, and guide if you are leaving a familial cult. It also is a resource for helping someone in the process of leaving a familial cult. It includes a guide to understanding the dynamics, the abuse, the victim experience, how to leave, support systems, and the therapeutic discussions.
