The Flower Girl is a compilation of fictional short stories by Betsy Munson. In The Flower Girl, Sarah Bradley has been moving from town to town setting up shop, selling eye catching flowers and plants. When Sarah moves with her daughter to Sunflower, Mississippi, she befriends many townspeople and meets Jonas Baker. Sarah's flower shop becomes a haven where many townspeople congregate, but others present a danger for Sarah and her daughter. As the summer progresses, Sarah must choose between protecting her daughter, Molly, and her growing relationship with Jonas. Ms. Munson's other short stores craft unforgettable characters who experience extraordinary friendships, as well as love and loss.
Author Biography
Ms. Munson lives in Northern Virginia with her husband on their family farm. She has four children and two small grandchildren. Currently she is a high school teacher and soccer coach. She has a Master's degree in Sport Psychology from the University of Virginia and is currently working on her doctorate in Education, as well as her first novel. The Flower Girl is Ms. Munson's second published book. Her novella, Life is a Melody was published in 2008.
