Over the course of both investigations, Section 9 learns that Hashikami and the killer known as the "White Bear" are plotting to assassinate Shinra Mikomoto, the recently elected mayor of New Port City. A screenwriter, anime director, manga writer, and novelist, Junichi Fujisaku made major creative contributions to classic anime such as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, and Blood+. His latest is the manga The Ghost in the Shell: Human Algorithm, a sequel to Shirow Masamune's The Ghost in the Shell 1.5: Human-Error Processor.
Yuki Yoshimoto is a manga artist whose debut is The Ghost in the Shell: Human Algorithm.
