The Gospel of Nicodemus, formerly called The Acts of Pontius Pilate, is an ancient text that recounts the events surrounding the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The book is believed to have been written in the 4th century AD and is attributed to an anonymous author. The text is divided into two parts, the first being the trial and crucifixion of Jesus, and the second being the descent into Hell and the resurrection.
