The story picks up on the villagers approaching the end of their month-long journey through the uncharted wilderness. After having overcome the attack of the giant elk, they are confronted by a new threat before reaching the kingdom.
Back in the dark and evil world of M'Nyama, Nosoo tries to stay hidden from the wolf army, but it doesn't work out. However, he learns an important misconception about the wolves that he must escape and alert his people before there is another encounter with them.
Meanwhile, the story moves to introduce new lands of mystery and intrigue as well as new characters to set new stages before the ground begins to shake.
