The New Testament church was founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ and His apostles. The New Testament was finally completed and the last apostle died just before the end of the first century. It is in their writings that God has delivered to the human race the surest, most reliable and accurate words regarding salvation. Yet, somehow through time, the original demands of Jesus and His apostles have been degraded and dismissed as meaningless mandates, senseless stipulations and irrelevant rhetoric. This book is a full-frontal assault on the partial truths, blatant lies and trite traditions that have not only besieged modern Christianity but have actually infiltrated it. This book is a decree to discard the "cunningly devised fables of men." And it is a commission to reencounter the soul-purifying truths of the faith that was delivered first. (Revised 2008).
Author Biography
Darin Bowler is a Bible Teacher and Assistant Pastor at Lodi Christian Life in Lodi, California. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Christian Life College in Stockton, California. He is also the author of three books: "So You Want to Be Blessed: A Devotional Commentary of Psalm 1," "The Intolerant Christ: Purifying Modern Christianity Through the Original Demands of Jesus and His Apostles" and "God: A Long Time Ago in a Galilean Far, Far Away." He currently lives in Lodi with his wife Leann and their two sons Branson and Landon.
