Gill Lewis worked as a veterinarian in the UK and around the world before becoming the acclaimed author of numerous children's books, including Swan Song, Eagle Warrior, and Run Wild. Her writing has earned her many honors, including the UKLA Children's Book Award and the Little Rebels Award, as well as several nominations for major prizes such as the CILIP Carnegie Medal.
