Shakespeare may be celebrated for his timeless tragedies and romantic sonnets, but he was also a master of mischief.
The Little Book of Rude Shakespeare proves that Elizabethan wit could be as saucy and scandalous as anything today. From outrageous wordplay to lines that still raise eyebrows, it gathers the best of the Bard's sharp-tongued insults, risqué quips and salacious double entendres. Sprinkled with surprising facts about Elizabethan life and Shakespeare's world, it's a witty reminder that the man who penned some of the most sublime lines in the English language was never above a bawdy joke.
Perfect for gifting or keeping at hand for your next verbal duel, this book is proof that Shakespeare's humour remains as wicked - and as funny - as ever.
