Author Biography
Dashiell Hammett (1894-1961) was one of the greatest mystery writers of the 20th century. He has been credited with creating the hard-boiled detective novel and some of his most famous works include The Maltese Falcon (1930), The Glass Key (1931) and The Thin Man (1934). His fiction has influenced generations of crime writers.
