The tense peace between three nations rests on a treaty held by a curse.
Urduja is doomed to perish by the Immortal General's blade, never to see her twilight years. Every life, it ends the same way: An early death with his sword slicing her throat.
Urduja's nightmares are plagued with the sound of his taunts, "better luck in the next life, Golden One."
But in this thirteenth reincarnation, something changes...
What happens when the unmerciful chooses mercy, and the sacrifice chooses life?
She's conscripted into an enemy Army, forced to swear allegiance to a foreigner's god. As the Immortal General trains her to become the best warrior in three kingdoms, she must learn to control her temper and bloodlust as she navigates life in a brutal country that does not like her kind.
The Mortal Curse is an epic fantasy inspired by a Pre-Colonial Filipino Society clashing with a Medieval world. It is a story about identity, and choosing your own destiny.
