A charity gig, a holiday heist, and plenty of mistletoe!
It's three days before Christmas, and Lora Weaver is hefting a body into the trunk of a car. Not exactly how she expected to be spending her first French holiday. But who said playing elf with bff Camille Caron was going to be easy?
When Camille's grandmother runs a community Christmas toy drive, Lora jumps at the chance to set aside her PI assignments and join the Caron clan at grand-maman's homestead for some festive fun. Until Lora finds herself riding shotgun to Camille, speeding down the highway, miles out of the city, with a back seat full of toys and a cop on their tail.
As the ride-or-die besties work to finesse their way out of trouble, Lora tries not to let the start of the holiday ruin her good cheer when they arrive at grand-maman's home decorated in full-on Noël mode. But after all the toys have been wrapped and prepped for the children on grand-maman's list, Lora's good cheer freezes faster than a wet mitten left in the snow when the toys get stolen.
Determined to save Christmas for the children counting on those gifts, Lora embarks on a mission to get them back. All while dodging danger and navigating family antics and mysteriously multiplying mistletoe. And all under the watchful eye of Camille's hot PI brother, Laurent, and their charming cop cousin, François, whose presence reopens an old childhood grudge Camille refuses to explain. Not to mention grand-maman-a woman with a heart of gold and a look that could stop a gal cold.
Can Lora survive the family shenanigans and find the toys in time for the big day in this cozy, rom-com holiday caper?
