Could you follow your dreams if the whole world was against you?
Raised in a human orphanage, Gunhild dreams of becoming a real-life god, and everyone everywhere thinks it's a terrible idea made up by a petulant twelve-year-old.
Gunhild invites Thor to her birthday party so she can ask him to bring her to Valhalla and make her a god. She knows that as a god, she'll have some real power--and people will finally believe her about Ragnarok returning. But she also has to face the other girls in the orphanage who call her names and make fun of her abilities. Her best friend, a fire salamander named Newton, helps her feel less alone.
Will Thor show up at the party and make her dreams come true? Or will chaos and fire continue following Gunhild wherever she goes?
