He is a Professor of Medicine and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Brescia in Italy and was for many years Research Professor at Washington University, one of the four most highly regarded medical universities in the USA. Professor Fontana recently was invited to join the University of Sydney as Chair of Translational Metabolic Health.
