The Secret Door is the story of a curious girl that fancies herself "Princess of the Realm", who one day discovers a secret door that leads to a dungeon she explores and ends up having to escape a determined huntress.
The idea for the Tales of Fantasy series is essentially to create all-new fairytales. This is something that goes beyond the same old retellings, modernizations, and parodies of old stories; not that there's anything wrong with those. They continue to be very popular in television and movies. Classics are classics for a reason, and that's part of the reason for this series.
This is something new and different to enjoy, while still retaining the merit of those classic tales. These are original works that make use of familiar themes and take place in traditional fantasy settings. It differs from other books because it's not a retelling, but still takes advantage of the influential ideas and themes set forth in classic fairytales, as well as countless other stories since.
Strict attention has been paid to the quality of the book, as well as much research to ensure that it brings something fresh to the table. This was done to create something new, fun, and different yet familiar, in hopes that this will be a series that you will look forward to in the books to come.
