What happened to you is part of your story, not your identity.
What if healing isn't about becoming someone new, but coming home to who you have always been?
Many of us carry more than the memories of what happened to us. We carry the beliefs those experiences created-the beliefs that can quietly shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, and our possibilities.
Over time, those beliefs can become so familiar that we mistake them for the truth.
The Seven Doors: The Journey Back to Yourself is an invitation to look beneath those beliefs with compassion rather than judgment. Through seven doors, Ron Schlegel explores the journey from understanding what happened to you to discovering what may still be possible beyond it.
Along the way, you will explore how:
- Painful experiences can shape the beliefs we form about ourselves
- Symptoms and behaviors may carry messages worth understanding
- Deeply held beliefs can change
- Healing may require moving through emotional pain rather than continually moving around it
- Compassion and forgiveness can create space for freedom
- Truth can help us separate who we are from what happened to us
- Letting go of what no longer serves us can open the way to a different future
This is not a book about erasing your past.
It is about recognizing that your past does not have to write the rest of your story.
What happened to you matters. The pain was real. The beliefs you formed may have helped you survive.
But they do not have to define you forever.
There is more to you than what happened to you.
There is more to you than the beliefs created by your pain.
And there may be more life waiting for you than you have ever imagined.
The journey isn't about becoming someone new.
It is about coming home to yourself.
