For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God ...in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its enslavement to decay and will obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. - Romans 8: 19-21 For Creation to be set free, we must first know what it is, and that demands we rediscover the link between the Nature all around us and the vast hierarchies and strata of the angelic world. The connection between Nature and angels was something our ancestors, in all parts of the world, took for granted. In the past centuries, our modern, scientific understanding increased at the expense of those original spiritual perceptions. Certainly, we can't take the step foretold in the book of Romans without a spiritually whole picture of the Creation we're meant to restore. It's up to us to repair this long-lost connection, to rediscover the angelic world and its place in our lives, and to allow Creation to be what it was always meant to be: alive and full of meaning and spirit. This is the once and future high calling of the redeemed. It's only in our recent past that we've collectively abandoned the links between Nature and angels. Today, we must decide if a rediscovery of the spiritual presence in Nature is possible, and we must harken back to Biblical promises that foretell of this restoration.
