Her work has received numerous awards, including The Maine Library Association's 2019 Lupine Honors Award for American Trailblazers: 50 Remarkable People Who Shaped U.S. History. Lisa grew up on the rocky Maine seacoast. She learned to appreciate geology from her rock miner grandfather and her mineral collector dad.
