The term war room, in political parlance, was coined by the team of U.S. strategists (specifically James Carville) who worked for Bill Clinton's first presidential campaign in the early 1990s. Warren Kinsella was a special assistant to Jean Chretien and was chief of staff in several federal ministries. His previous books include Unholy Alliances; the national bestseller Web of Hate; a bestselling novel, Party Favours; Kicking Ass in Canadian Politics; and Fury's Hour: A (Sort-of) Punk Manifesto. He lives in Toronto.
