Grieving the loss of a parent can feel like being dropped into a valley of sorrow with no clear path forward. Whether your loss was sudden or expected, recent or years ago, the ache still echoes through everyday life-and sometimes, it feels like no one understands.
Through the Valley: Finding Peace After Losing a Parent is a 60-day devotional written for sons and daughters grieving the death of a mother or father. With Scripture-based encouragement, heartfelt prayers, and space to journal, this devotional provides comfort for those navigating the long and often lonely journey of grief.
Author Christopher J Vandroff shares from personal experience, having lost his own father unexpectedly in a tragic house fire on Christmas Eve night in 2018. His words are honest, compassionate, and full of hope-written not from a place of having all the answers, but from someone who has walked through the same valley.
Each daily entry includes:
- A Scripture passage to reflect on
- A devotional reading rooted in real-life grief
- A short prayer to help reconnect with God
Perfect for individuals or grief support groups, Through the Valley offers a gentle, faith-centered guide through sorrow toward healing-reminding readers that peace is possible, and they are never alone.
