He was trained in hymnology at Princeton Seminary and is the co-composer of the oratorio \u003ci\u003eHinds' Feet on High Places\u003c\/i\u003e. He has authored \u003ci\u003eOf Dead Kings and Dirges\u003c\/i\u003e (SBL Press), \"1 and 2 Chronicles\" in volume 2 of the Transforming Word series (ACU Press), numerous articles, and coauthored \u003ci\u003eAn Akkadian Handbook\u003c\/i\u003e (Eisenbrauns) with Douglas Miller.
