Dr. Lawrence R. Flake is a professor of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University. He earned his master's degree and a doctorate from BYU in religious education and has served as a teacher and an administrator for the Church Educational System for four decades in Utah; New York; Washington, D.C.; and Montana. He is the author of five books, including Prophets and Apostles of the Last Dispensation.
