Author Biography
Giuseppe Festa holds a degree in Biology and is an environmental educator and a writer of children's and young adult literature. He is also the author of nature reports broadcast on Italian public television (RAI) and the protagonist of the award-winning documentary Oltre la frontiera. He combines his love of nature and books with his work as a musician, as the singer of the band Lingalad. With Duomo Ediciones he has published three novels: One Hundred Steps to Fly, The Moon Belongs to the Wolves, and The Bear's Path. He has carried out various volunteer projects in the Abruzzo National Park, which allowed him to work closely with several park rangers. In the Abruzzo mountains he learned to know and love bears. One of those summers as a volunteer inspired the novel The Bear's Path, Giuseppe Festa's first foray into young adult literature, which has been acclaimed by critics and readers alike and is now celebrating its tenth anniversary.
