A twelve-year-old girl's magical quest to aid a friend puts her and her cousins in danger in Wythic Wood. Tilly's friend Michael vanished in Wythic Wood a year ago. Determined to find him, she talks her way into spending the summer with Opa, a powerful wizard and her family's lead--who just happens to live right next to the dangerous forest. At Opa's home in Clayton Forest, Tilly and her twin cousins, Jess and Zach, encounter magical creatures, learn potion-making, and are trained in Gobight fighting. Despite these distractions, Tilly remains focused on uncovering Michael's fate, and she and her cousins soon embark on a perilous quest into Wythic Wood. But Tilly's impulsiveness quickly leads them into danger, and they find themselves pursued by the Witch of Wythic Wood and the creatures she commands. As they delve deeper into the forest's secrets, the young adventurers face challenges that test their courage, friendship, and budding magical abilities, and must use their newfound magic and knowledge to survive. Will Tilly's determination be enough to solve the mystery of Michael's disappearance--or will the dark forces of Wythic Wood prove too powerful?
