Her experiences will encourage others to seek out the same life-changing adventures while exploring their family heritage.
The third edition includes a comprehensive guide to genealogy research, as well as new sections on getting started with DNA and experiencing the foods and daily lives of your ancestors. This is your essential toolkit for getting the most out of a trip to discover your own family roots.
Reviews from the first edition: "'Visiting Your Ancestral Town' ... is a [sic] absolute treasure trove of material for the Genealogist who has decided that birthday dates and death certificates are not enough to understand his/her ancestors." "Genealogy has always intrigued me, but the overwhelming amount of information that one has to sift through and dissect, has kept me from putting anything more than my toe into those waters. Ms. Schott's book makes it seem possible to take the plunge." (Amazon reviews)
