How do you keep living when time runs out?
Sam always knew the disease would come for him eventually. He just never expected to hear he had less than a year left.
As the weight of a terminal diagnosis settles over his marriage, his friendships, and the future he thought he still had, Sam is forced to confront the life he's been quietly running out of time to live. But while fear and grief threaten to consume everything, the people closest to him refuse to let his story end in silence.
A spontaneous trip to Jamaica with three lifelong friends becomes more than an escape. It becomes a chance to reclaim something they lost long ago: freedom, brotherhood, purpose, and the music that once made them feel invincible.
At the same time, Denise faces a heartbreaking decision of her own. One that could change both of their lives forever.
Emotionally raw and deeply human, Waiting on the Sun is a powerful literary novel about love, mortality, friendship, and the fragile hope we cling to when life gives us no guarantees.
For anyone who has loved, lost, and kept going anyway.
