'I've never been to Rome. One day I'll walk there.'
That random thought led to a 2000-mile solo walk from Glasgow to Rome, with no route plan, just an end goal and two rules:
I am NOT carrying a rucksack. And I'm NOT going over the Alps.
This is not just an adventure story about a 54-year-old woman walking to Rome. At its very heart, it is a story about the kindness of humanity and being kindnapped.
Freelance risk manager by profession and free spirit at heart, Geraldine McFaul set off from Central Scotland with her trusty trailer Roamin', no fixed route, and an unshakeable determination to reach the Eternal City.
