In 2011, she was appointed Honorary Consul for Sweden in Bhutan, and on December 3, 2019, she was conferred the prestigious Royal Order of the Polar Star by Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden - an honor awarded to foreign nationals who have rendered exceptional service to Sweden.
