"I wrote the story for my son before leaving on a deployment, said Caccitolo, a father of three who served in the U.S. Army Special Forces and now works in the defense industry. "My wife, Kelley, thought it could offer other parents a way to share traditional values and help children grow into confident, humble, and respected members of their communities. The story is about a wolf who must leave his son to keep danger from the den and the life lessons he imparts on him should he not return."
