After His resurrection, Jesus Christ gave the eleven surviving Galilean apostles the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Stated simply, the Commission is to go into all the world and make disciples of Christ from all nations.
Moments before His Ascension to heaven, Jesus privately gave a second command: wait in Jerusalem for the 'promise of the Father.' What was it? The baptism and fulness of the Holy Spirit. Why?
