What if fish had feet? What kind of shoes would they wear?
What if you could ride a cloud? Where would you go?
What if you only had one sweet left? Would you give it to your friend or eat it yourself?
What's your WHAT IF question and what will your answer be?
This picture book for ages 7+ offers endless possibilities for children (and adults!) to explore and imagine the kind of world we might like to live in. Presented through a range of both fun and serious open-ended questions, the book's purpose is to help:
- Encourage an interest in reading.
- Further vocabulary/language skills.
- Promote imaginative thinking.
- Stimulate discussion skills.
- Develop problem solving skills.
- Nurture emotional intelligence (EQ).
Also included as a springboard for follow up activities are:
- Examples of 'What If...' questions from primary school children.
- A photocopiable scroll certificate for readers to fill in showing how they intend to help improve our world for everyone!
As well as being enjoyed as a picture book, 'What If?' can be used to support the National Curriculum Requirements for Literacy and PSHE.
