Sometimes your mind plays tricks on you.
And sometimes, a hidden truth wants a voice.
What do you do when you discover that the voice it wants...is yours?
Welcome to Wilshire Pointe.
For as long as she can remember, Shelby Jones has felt that something about her life is incomplete. Then one morning, she finds a chilling note beside her pillow:
Shelby Jones, your entire life is a lie.
Her fragile sense of normalcy begins to unravel as she is drawn into an unlikely circle of friends who couldn't be more different: River Smyth, the arrogant star wide receiver and campus royalty who knows how to command attention; Jared Mitchell, effortlessly handsome, introverted, and far more guarded than he appears; and Alice Whitman, quietly manipulative, mysterious, and connected to one of the most powerful families in Wilshire Pointe.
Despite their differences, one secret ties them together.
Then the nightmares begin.
Dark, vivid, and nearly impossible to shake, they soon bleed into Shelby's reality. Strange disturbances ripple through the quiet town. Whispers seem to follow her wherever she goes, and beneath Wilshire Pointe's polished surface lies a past someone has gone to great lengths to bury.
Whatever has been sleeping beneath Wilshire Pointe has been waiting a very long time to wake.
