Born in 1931, Delia Dominguez is one of the most important poets of Chile. Woman Without Background Music is the first volume of her poems to be published in English and collects poems from all phases of her work in a bilingual edition. She lives in Orsono in the south of Chile.
Roberta Gordenstein is an associate professor of Spanish at Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts.

She lives in Orsono in the south of Chile Roberta Gordenstein is an Associate Professor of Spanish at Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Her translations include Beloved Angels by Spanish poet Luz-Maria Jimenez and stories in the anthologies The House of Memory and Miriam's Daughters. Marjorie Agosin is a poet, writer and human rights activist. She is also a professor of Spanish at Wellesley College and editor of our Secret Weavers Series. Isabel Allende is a well known writer of fiction and nonfiction.
