But then the trees lure a girl inside who challenges Ronin. She finds that the truth changes depending on which side of the arrow you're on, and that the hearts of good men are easily blackened. For only the wicked can raise the dead. Anika races to uncover Ronin's plan and hide her association with him from the other nobles before he crossed a line they can't return from. The magic of the Woods should never have been disturbed.
McCombs has created a lush world inside the Woods that pays homage to the original Robin Hood story while weaving a unique story overtop. This tale is set in the same world as The Storyteller's Daughter with a standalone plot.
