Brenna's private text about the new boy was supposed to go to her best friend. Instead, it lands on Dorian's phone.
At Northbridge High, Brenna is trying to prove she can be trusted with the Senior Spotlight Showcase after a microphone mistake made her the center of hallway jokes last semester. Dorian, newly transferred and quietly careful, is trying to leave behind a painful misunderstanding from his old school. When Brenna's wrong text is followed by a public caption mistake and anonymous rumors, both of them are pulled into a schoolwide mess where every message seems to travel faster than the truth.
As Brenna and Dorian work together to protect the showcase, they discover that being misread is not the same as being fully known. With help from loyal friends, honest apologies, and a growing kindness project, they begin to turn the school's gossip into something more careful, more truthful, and more hopeful.
