Students learn pirate lingo and how to make up a funny pirate name. Then create a pirate crew and ship of their very own to launch out and search for the buried treasure. Students will love creating their own pirate tales to write about as they learn the writing process step by step creating characters, setting, and plot. Students learn to use literary tools like onomatopoeia and interjections along with strong verbs and dialogue.
